Hi Debra,
Nice to “talk” to you again! Yes, May has been a busy month so far and I haven’t been thinking much about blogging. I have had an extended house guest, with another person coming today, and it’s been tough to sneak away to write! We’ve enjoyed a long streak of great weather (twelve days without rain is an amazing thing especially this time of year) and I have put in lots of running and hiking miles. In fact, I should be getting out there right now…

Thanks Patty… I took those photos just a couple weeks ago and things are MUCH greener and more lush today. Once spring gets going around here, it really gets going. I need to pull up a “volunteer” thimbleberry that I found the other day, before it takes over my front courtyard!

Hi Debra,
Yes, I definitely still have the glow!
On the other hand, I’ve been feeling guilty because I never quite got around to doing another post with the photos of birds and scenery that I’d planned. I’d like to move on and blog about new things happening since then (like SPRING!!!), but maybe I’ll still have an opportunity to squeeze them in somewhere.

Well, so much for me relying on the WP Reader! LOL! I got curious and went looking for you today. I’m glad I didn’t miss these amazing photos, Lori! I can hardly imagine the joy of being eye to eye with these great and awesome creatures. They do give a different perspective on what is important in our ecologically fragile existence. More and more I find myself concerned about our oceans. But for today, rather than dwell on that, let’s just really revel in the pure exhilaration of this trip you’ve had. I’ll bet you can’t stop smiling!

Debra, yes, it was especially sweet to be able to come back to Laguna San Ignacio with someone who appreciated it the same way I did.
I’ll try to post again with more photos later today or tomorrow… meanwhile I want to get out of the house and go for a long run!
